Aspire Linlithgow

St Michael’s established its major projects fundraising campaign, Aspire Linlithgow, in 2022. We’re nothing if not ambitious: having successfully raised nearly £400k from grants and donations to refurbish St Michael’s unique Crown of Thorns spire, we are now embarking on not one but two major new fundraising campaigns.

We are extremely grateful to the community and the church for so magnificently supporting the Crown of Thorns campaign. We are also very thankful to our grant funders: Historic Environment Scotland, Church of Scotland General Trustees, Scottish Landfill Communities Fund and the Pilgrim Trust.

You can help us attract major grant funding for our new campaigns by demonstrating that our aspirations to transform Cross House and to safeguard the church building have widespread support.

Our regular book sales and other events bring in a steady stream of income for both our funds. Thank you for all your help!

Next Event: Quiz Night on Friday 14 February in Linlithgow Rose Social Club, compered by local legend Davie ‘Deep Sea’ Paterson. £5 per person, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7:30 start. What better way could there be to spend Valentine’s evening?!

Upcoming Event: An Audience with Dr Kathryn Sullivan takes place in St Michael’s Church on Tuesday 1 April at 2pm. Tickets (£20) go on sale on 8 February in Far From The Madding Crowd book shop and The Line Gallery. Kathy Sullivan is a pioneering astronaut and oceanographer. What’s the connection to St Michael’s? Don’t miss this chance to find out!
