Aspire Linlithgow
St Michael’s established its major projects fundraising campaign, Aspire Linlithgow, in 2022. We’re nothing if not ambitious: having successfully raised nearly £400k from grants and donations to refurbish St Michael’s unique Crown of Thorns spire, we are now embarking on not one but two major new fundraising campaigns.
We are extremely grateful to the community and the church for so magnificently supporting the Crown of Thorns campaign. We are also very thankful to our grant funders: Historic Environment Scotland, Church of Scotland General Trustees, Scottish Landfill Communities Fund and the Pilgrim Trust.
You can help us attract major grant funding for our new campaigns by demonstrating that our aspirations to transform Cross House and to safeguard the church building have widespread support.
So far this year, our regular book sales have raised nearly £5,200 and other events have brought in over £12,000. Thank you for all your help!
Next Event: come to the Festival of Christmas Trees on 6-8 December and do your Christmas shopping with Aspire Linlithgow! For this weekend only, we’ll be selling remaining stock of Meg Wallace’s limited edition print of the church spire at a special price of £80 framed or £40 unframed. Get yours before they’re all gone!
Upcoming Event: Start 2025 with a concert of magnificent music! On 4th January at 6pm, a specially-selected orchestra will perform Richard Strauss’s Sunrise and the Organ Symphony by Camille Saint-Saëns in St Michael’s Church. Entry by donation, with all proceeds going to Project 600 to help safeguard the church building for the 21st century.
