Alan Hastie

Alan Hastie retired from PT Music at Armadale Academy ten years ago, and has since expanded his already extensive experience of accompanying choirs, brass band championships, and exam/audition candidates for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Edinburgh College. Since 2011 he has performed with the Menzies Choir of Bathgate, first as accompanist, then as conductor. Alan has relished recent opportunities for playing chamber music and performs in various duos with flautist Sue Evans, vocalists Cathy Vickers-Morton and Sophie Halpin, and violist Alison Hastie. In 2024 he performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto K453 with the Antonine Ensemble. He plays organ at a few local churches, and golf at numerous locations.
